Not trying to be defensive about Photoshop but some people will sing the praises of a simpler program here on DA because its simpler to learn or used by other anime artists etc. Its not just for photo editing and some painting and if you want to get an art job you have to learn it. I can do 2d animation with sound and effects and even some light video editing. I use Photoshop because I can drag a 3d model and unwrap, texture, light, and stage it. Some people just need to get out of the habit of "sketching" their lines zoomed in close to the canvas, I did that for years. This is where you do the stroke very quickly, hitting ctrl-z until you get the line where you want. I achieved clean lines just though "point and shoot" technique for lineart. I wouldnt say you "have to" get Lazy Nezumi for clean lines in Photoshop.
